Krasnodar region is a dynamically developing territory holding leading positions in industry in Southern Russia.
In the region, over 13,500 enterprises are registered in this sector, with more than 300 accounting for the main production volumes and shipment of their own products. The priority industrial sectors include metallurgy and metalworking, construction materials manufacturing, mechanical engineering, machine tool building and radio electronics, as well as chemical, pharmaceutical, medical industries, timber processing complex sectors, and light industry.
Krasnodar region leads the Southern Federal District in industrial infrastructure development by expanding its network of industrial parks and techno-parks. Twelve such sites have been included in the register of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is planned to implement over 10 more such projects by 2030.
The existence of a state program for the regional industry’s development and its annual funding allow subsidizing part of the costs for modernizing existing facilities and launching new ones, as well as recapitalizing the regional Industrial Development Fund (IDF). Today, in terms of capitalization, the regional IDF ranks among the top three largest in Russia, providing preferential loans at interest rates starting from 1% per annum.
Within the framework of the state program, specialized subsidies are provided. This includes financing up to 30% of producers' expenses for creating or developing import-substituting product lines, and reimbursement of up to 95% of costs for developing engineering and technical centers based at enterprises. Additionally, IDF accepts applications for loan financing under three programs: "Technological Leadership", "Automation and Robotics" and "Special".
A comprehensive package of financial support measures, tax incentives, and land preferences enables the creation and modernization of plants and factories, increases the level of robotization and automation of production processes, and launches high-tech enterprises. Thanks to this set of support measures for investors, manufacturers, and residents of industrial parks and techno-parks, comfortable business conditions have been created in the region.
