Belarusian Minister of Industry Aleksandr Yefimov held a working meeting with Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, according to the website of the Belarusian ministry.
It was noted that the meeting was also attended by the republic's previous minister of industry, Alexander Rogozhnik, who now serves as Belarus' Ambassador of Russia.
"The parties discussed key aspects of trade and industrial cooperation between Belarus and Russia, as well as the current state of joint investment projects in the industrial sector," the Belarusian Ministry of Industry stated in its report.
The ministers stressed that all projects are aimed at creating new production facilities in Belarus to meet the needs of the Union market in this sector. Additionally, the heads of the industrial ministries touched upon the topic of holding the INNOPROM International Industrial Trade Fair in Belarus in 2025.
"Aleksandr Yefimov and Anton Alikhanov took note of the steady progress Belarus and Russia have made in forming a unified industrial policy," the ministry’s press service said.
The INNOPROM International Industrial Trade Fair has been held in Ekaterinburg since 2010 and is considered the largest trade platform for Russia's industrial sector. The majority of visitors to the exhibition are professional buyers from various countries around the world. Belarusian industrial enterprises signed agreements totaling $387 million this year as a result of their participation in the trade fair.
